How does sending a probe through the brain during awake surgery cause a patient to have involuntary emotions?

I once saw the uncover about this man who had operation upon his brain to provide his tourettes syndrome, as well as when they put the examine or something by his brain, he proposed to have serious depressive feelings as well as the little alternative things. My genuine subject is, doesn’t this meant which the brain is some-more earthy than psychological? But how would promulgation the examine start the person’s emotions but there being the mental reason to feel sad?

The way I understand it is that the probe stimulates a part of the brain, this releases neurotransmiters and affects others.

Between endorphins, serotonin, and miriads of others you would have countless possibilities.

I don’t think the probe causes the emotion naturally.
In normal existence our moods can create these chemicals.
But you really raise a very important issue, is this really more physical?
Someday we may get an answer.

Very good question, now remain thinking!
