How long after corrective jaw surgery can you start talking?

I work during home (technical rep) as well as we am perplexing to find the great time to report my jaw line surgery. Anyone which has had the procession done..how prolonged can we begin speaking? I’m not disturbed about how we will look, since we will be during home many of the time, though when can we begin opening your mouth as well as reason the normal conversation? Thanks!

It depends if they wire your jaws shut or not. I would not plan to do the type of work you do if they wire your jaws shut for about 4 weeks. If not wired shut (though I think generally this does not get as good of results and there is risk for greater complications), I think you’re probably looking at 1-2 weeks of not being able to talk a lot.

(When you say "jaw surgery", I assume you are referring to changing of bones in your face that would change your profile, bite, etc.)
