the procedure takes a couple of hours sometimes only one hour, you will go to a PACU (post anesthesia care unit) then to a regular hospital unit for approx 2days or so, then home, if there are no complications. You’ll be back to normal in about a week or two, but will be able to return to work before then.

About 4 to 5 days. The second day is the worst as far as the stomach pain when u walk. The more you can walk( a very little at a time) the faster u recover.
this is after u get home sometimes the same day

mine went really well. had it on a thurs., stayed at home fri, sat, sun. back to work on mon. moved slower. careful to bed over. not sure about the lifting. ask your doc. i was scared, but was very surprised how well everything went.
your first meal may be broth and jello. mine was. but they want you to start eating somewhat normal right away though. probably stay away from fatty foods for awhile though. good luck.
