That is normal. It takes some people months to recover. It took my husband about two months after his gallbladder was take out and two weeks for his hernia. Everyone is different so it might be best to tell the doctor about the pain and they can do a CT scan to make sure if it is healing normally.

I had the same thing done to me. I was sick for a long time. The doctor, thought I was making it up, I was in pain and it go worse . Mine was done in March and in Aug. I almost died. I had a Bacteria and staff infection. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks, and on meds. for 3 months after that. I was on complete bed rest. They said the poison from my gall bladder dripped in me. Which caused the problem. Tell your mom to make them listen to her. My organs were shutting down. I went to ER I picked a different Dr. in the ER for my family Dr. I am so happy I did. This Dr. did not give up until he found out what was wrong with me. I had no insurance, He did not charge me any thing, and he had the other Drs. on my case not charge me anything. I had several Drs. on my case. Take your mom to the Dr. make them listen. My surgeon came to see me at the hospital and said, that he was sorry that he did not listen to me. He said he thinks it had something to do with the laser surgery on an infected gallbladder. That they need to rethink doing laser surgery, on a infected gallbladder.
