You need to bring this bird to a local wildlife rehab, they will repair the wing and care for the bird at no cost to you. They will also get it released back into the wild if possible. It is illegal for you to have this bird in your possession, all birds are protected by law. Find a rehab near you here:

Call your local wild life for help. You can’t care for a seagull.
Call local human So. if you can’t find number for the wild life rescue. Is likely you have someone that works with and with help this sea gull. Please call them right away before this bird goes into shock and dies.
Seagulls are not pet birds and deserve to be healed and set free to fly again with his flock.

just bind the wing close to it’s body so it can’t flap it. birds bones heel fast really fast so it should be better in 2-3 weeks

It would not cost anything if you just do it YOURSELF. It is not that difficult.Cut the feathers away so you can see what you are doing.Feel carefully to see what is wrong, where it is damaged and how it is broken. Compare the damaged wing to the UN-DAMAGED wing. Here are a few helpful sites……http://www.faunarescue.org.au/birdassess.html….http://e library.unm.edu/sora/JFO/v012n02/p0068-p0072.pdf

call the vet and tell them that you found it. ask if they’ll do surgery 4 free.

A vet would know nothing about this bird and the humane society might give you the number of a wildlife rehabber. They know nothing about birds either.
Your bird is in great pain. Find someone to help him, if possible or to put him out of his misery if the break is too bad.
Then, look in your local paper and find a bird who needs a home. Or go online to PetFinders and adopt a bird from there. They are wonderful creatures as you have already learned.
Put him into a deep cardboard box with a towel in the bottom until you get him to a rehabber.
Thanks for bringing this bird in so dogs would not rip it to shreds.

Good for you for bringing the bird in. I agree to call the humane society or rescue. I just wanted to add that these birds are HUGE carriers of mites and lice, so make sure you WASH UP EXTREMELY well after handling this bird, or you might wind up with some pets you don’t want!!! You need to do something fast too, or the bird could potentially die from shock, etc. Well wishes to the bird.
