My hermit had the brain operation due to draining in his brain caused by tall red blood pressure. Now he is in deep sleep as well as doctors contend which they did all they could. Is there any goal for him to tarry as well as what should they do in this incident which helps him to recover?

I was in a coma and I will say that is is very disorienting when you wake up. It isn’t like in movies where you blink and open your eyes – it can be (in my case) violent and your brother could swear and say obscene things or act completely unlike himself because that’s how I reacted. I pulled the oxygen tubes right out of my nose and swore at the doctors even though I couldn’t really control myself. So don’t be alarmed if that is how he reacts.
I hope everything is going to be okay, there is no way for us to know if he will survive but he is in good care and I wish you luck.

The chances for recovery from a cerebral hemorrhage depends on where it was in the brain and how large it was.
Most patients are artificially kept in a coma after brain surgery.
The doctors told you what they did because there really are no guarantees when the brain is involved. Some patients do poorly, and others fool you and make an amazing, against all odds recovery.

There is always some hope. People who aren’t supposed to live do it every day. I’m proof of that. The brain is an amazing thing. Sometimes it can heal all on its own. Sadly there might not be much else the doctors can do to help aide in healing if it’s possible though. Time might be the best doctor in this case.
Search on Google and you’ll find stories of people who have come out of comas after many years. Best of luck.

A coma is the body’s way of dealing with trauma, and it could be that it will just take time for the brain to heal enough – so there is hope, but of course the doctors should be able to judge the situation better since they know the details. Because the surgery may have been done in an emergency situation, there may have been some brain damage from the excessive bleeding that caused him to need the surgery.
I have linked to a site that talks about how comas work and how people can come out of them. In general, the more damage that has been done, the longer it can take.
I wish your brother and family all of the best.

My mother had a serious blood clot in the brain yesterday…..she had internal bleeding and the doctors at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley performed surgery to remove the blood in her head. There is currently a tube draining the blood out of her head to prevent clotting and pressure on the brain. All her vital signs are normal, but she is in a coma. There are, however, still blood the her brain. Please, help me….what can we do? She is currently in the ICU. Is there anything that UCSF can do to save my mother’s life?. Are there any studies currently going on that you know that can possibly save my mother’s life? Please, please let me know. I am very scared.
