There are two variations of flat feet; one is called "flexible flat feet", and the other is known as "rigid flat feet". The first type is characterized by a foot which manifests a natural arch when one is not bearing weight on their feet (i.e standing), and is usually less painful to have. The other kind is characterized by a rigid foot, which does not manifest any sort of natural arch, is more painful and is often linked to an underlying neuromuscular or orthopedic condition. Your friend probably had this. As for yourself, contact me if you’d like to correct your flat feet. Whilst you likely won’t need surgery to correct yours, you are certainly at risk of developing a myriad of lower back, knee and hip problems which progressively worsen.

people are different with their physical pains and looks. she probably has more severe pain associated with her flat feet compared to you which you don’t.. My ex-man had flat feet and it didn’t bother him, so he didn’t bother with them although a podiatrist suggested that he wears those wooden shoes to make an arch (he igored them).

It depends on the physician she went to, some are money hungry. You are tougher than her and probably have a higher threshold for pain. I am sure you know some people that are winey ppl that can’t handle pain. I would go to the pharmacy and get some arch supports before I would go through this type of surgery. She thought she hurt before the surgery I bet she wishes now she had never had it performed.
