*During these surgeries, kids get special medicine that makes them fall asleep and ensures that they don’t feel any pain while the operation is being done. Usually, the operation requires no stitches. The cut areas will heal on their own. It takes a little time, though. After surgery, a kid will have a sore throat and will need to eat soft foods for a while.
Most kids are feeling back to normal after about a week. And do they miss their adenoids? Not one bit!
i don’t know about that surgery but you will fall asleep in seconds and it will be awesome, i loved it, its like an awesome drug, the rest of the day will be a vague dream… not sure i helped lol, good luck with you surgery.
I have never had that surgery before but I have had a surgery before. They put a little needle in your arm (they put mine in my hand but they might put it somewhere else) and it like knocks you out. Seriously, you won’t feel a thing. You will be OUT! Hope I helped just a little bit!
Did you not discuss this with the doctor performing this operation? That would have been some of the questions I would have asked before even considering saying yes to any operation.
I don’t know about your adenoids or how they do it, but i have had to be put to sleep for a surgery.
I was nervous as heck! they put some shots into an iv that goes to your hand, and they also make you put a mask on to breath into. and you feel normal, and you’ll start freaking cause your not falling asleep… then all of a sudden you pass out out of no where and next thing you know your waking up in recovery. ( that was a long sentence, sorry i’m not feeling very english-ie tonight)
but just relax cause its an easy procedure. my 6 year old nephew just got it done about a month ago.

One thing you wont have to worry about is falling asleep–the doctors provide anesthesia and make sure you wont wak eup in the middle of the process.
