Surgery………….?

So my grandpa has been ill for about a week as well as dual days now…He went to a doctors as well as they pronounced he has an lengthened prostate as well as he needs operation for it. What just is an lengthened prostate? And how unsure is this surgery?

Also, he had 2 kidney stones, a single he urinated as well as it came out. we dont know about a alternative one. If it did get bigger as well as he needs surgery, whats starting to occur to him? Will he be okay

More than likely things will turn out for the better for him. It takes time for the body to heal from any type surgery. Kidney stones are no laughing matter. They hurt like no other pain. He may or may not have passed the second stone. Dr. may be waiting for him to pass it. That can take some time & more pain with it. Just be patient. There’s not much you can do to help him get better. Just be there for him when he needs someone.
The doctor will advise what’s best about his prostate. He may try to reduce the enlargement by medication & if not, then surgery would be indicated. Again, that’s more recovery time for your grandpa. You must help him keep up his spirits & not let him get discouraged or go into a depression. He will need all the encouragement he can get to help him overcome his issues.

An enlarged prostate is a prostate that is enlarged. It’s pretty much self exsplanitory.
(look up what enlarged means and you will get it)

The risks of surgery greatly depends on the patients health and condition. Since I don’t know your grandfather I can tell you.

He should be fine. Why don’t you talk to your grandfather?

It is unusual to have surgery for an enlarged prostate. Find out the full facts.
The most painful part of passing a kidney stone is when it travels down a ureter from the kidney to the bladder. The ureters are much smaller in diameter that the urethra. Once the stones are in the bladder, they can be broken up into tiny pieces using ultrasonics, or removed laparoscopically. The procedures are quite safe and are simple to perform.
