I assimilate which it is dangerous, so greatfully do not begin with that. But if there is something about your physique which we unequivocally can’t accept i consider we should be means to shift it. we meant if someone is so uncertain about something which they have essentially suspicion about self-murder afterwards i consider it is fine to get surgery. What do we consider about this? And what do we consider a alternative teenagers will contend if they were to find out?

Depends on what it is.
Liposuction? No. They can exercise and eat better.
Boob job? No. If you’re contemplating suicide over the size of your boobs, you need therapy.
Nose job? Depends. Some people get rhinoplasty because they can’t breath well out of their nose; which is acceptable. Or if the kid is unfortunate enough to have a nose 3x bigger than average, I’d understand.
Scar or mole removal? Understandable.
Be more specific!!

Depending on what body part the insecurity is about, i would be ok with it, as long as it is something to be insecure about. Like for example, if a 17 year old girl has D cup breasts and thinks she is flat chested and wants breast implants she needs therapy, not surgery. But if you have a huge nose and don’t like it, its ok.
Generally though plastic surgery is better after your an adult.

I have had it actually. For medical reasons.

I think any type of surgery is ok as long as you are doing it for yourself… Not an ex that said he wished you had bigger boobs.
To be honest, the people who teased the person will either make fun of them for getting surgery, or find something else..
So make sure that you are doing it for yourself, and forget about anyone else

Eh, their body. If they can pay for it, go ahead. If it’s going to fix how they see themselves and boost their self confidence, then why not? Most, if not all, teens struggle with self image issues.

if they’re considering suicide they need a therapist not surgery.
Ridiculous as long as it’s not for medical reasons, then it’s ok.

If you have thought about suicide then I think plastic surgery is NOT the answer. You need to speak with a mental health professional. A good surgeon won’t operate on someone who’s depressed. Plastic surgery won’t make you secure. It MAY improve that one area, but even that isn’t a guarantee. Some people end up with scars or im perfect results that make them feel WORSE about that body part, even if there are no medical complications. It usually turns out well, or people wouldn’t do it, obviously. However, your ideas about things are going to change A LOT over the next 5-10 years. You can’t really un-do most plastic surgery. Yes, you can take implants out, but you are NOT going to look like you did before you put them in! And if they shave off part of your nose, they may be able to put something else there, but they can’t put it back like it was. It’s like a tatoo. It’s permanent. You can make them lighter with painful laser treatments, but they almost never really go away.
Once you have gotten to a better frame of mind and are more secure about who you are as a person and are not depressed, THEN you can consider plastic surgery.

I don’t think it should be done, till later in age unless for medical reasons. For example, you’re a DD cup, and tiny. It’d be too hard on your back so you should get a reduction, or a broken nose etc. Plus teens are still growing, and it might warp or look weird later on in life.
We all grow and change, and learn to accept eventually.

I just think being a teenager is ALWAYS going to be a very awkward, insecure stage no matter who you are. I dont think getting surgery (for a non medical reason.)is a quick fix. Its just…fake. And I definitely wouldn’t respect someone if they got a nose job, lipo, etc. It simply just means they couldn’t come to terms with themselves.

I have had plastic surgery before. A few minor ones, I had some large moles taken off of my face because they were nasty and right above my lip, so boys would make fun of me and wouldn’t kiss me. I also had a nose job, but I broke my nose first, so they had to do reconstructive surgery anyways. I see no issue with having small things like this done and a nose job, if you already broke your nose. But as far as implants go, I say wait until your are 18, same with lipo.

I think if theres something really worng with the person and they really need it then sure. But if the teen just wants it then thats just stupid. I think that everyone is beautiful no matter what they look like. (dont judge me >.<)

I find it very dumb, teens don’t need to modify their body. Unless it is for medical reasons, any reason aside from that is just flat out idiotic.

Whoa suicide?! Ok to be honest I think you are overreacting but if it has become that much of a problem, I think its necessary.

We are all made the way we are meant to be. That said a teen should not have plastic surgery they are still growing and developing. They need to spend the time on self-help and accept that they are beautiful and perfect just the way they are. Changing ones appearance will only bring temporary relive. Someone who is unhappy with their looks or suicidal their problem goes deeper then that their looks.
The exceptions would be medical reasons. If a 16 year old girl had breast cancer and lost her breasts. Has reconstructed surgery and implants cool, if she wants to go up a size ok.
Repeat this several times a day or any other positive affirmations – I am Beautiful just the way I am. I am Beautiful this is the way God (or Nature) wanted me to be. My body is Perfect for me. This is the body I was meant to have. I love it and cherish it.
