Medical records and diagnosis along with treatment options are presented to the judge. Patient advocate gives opinion and judge makes decision. Judge usually agrees to sound medical procedure.
Since the state has removed the patient’s ability to make choices, the judge must make them. it is a fairly pro forma process.
