What if somebody wakes up when they are still in surgery?
I know this isn’t likely. But what if a disinfectant doesn’t unequivocally work, as well as we arise up whilst a doctors have been still preforming operation upon you? Will we die?
I was just talking to a lady in church Sunday because I had a bad experience with the parayizing agent used when they put you to sleep. She said so did she ,she woke up during the surgery but could not move to let them know she was awake, she said she felt the most horrible pain she had ever felt in her life and was awake during the whole surgery. My doctors won’t hardly give it to me anymore and when they do in a serious surgery they have to cut the amount that they give me way down.I now panic everytime I have to have surgery and be put to sleep. The doctor told me this happens a lot more than you think it does. You have to have a very good anesthesiaologist when this drug is administered and that day that it happened to me I did not trust the anesthesialogoist from the moment I saw him,he just came in bouncing around not really acting like a doctor at all and that made me very leary of him and sure enough I had all kinds of problems.Yes you can die but that is not likely you just can’t open your eyes or move so that they know you are awake, they think you are asleep.Hope this has helped you.Very good question, thanks for asking.God Bless.
you would prolly die from shock if it was a serious enough surgery. in the old days they used to do amputations without putting the patient to sleep! ouch!
No, you’ll be just fine, you’ll just be conscious of what they’re doing if you come out of it partially; but if you come out of it fully, you’ll feel all the pain the medication is numbing you to. It’s very easy for the doctor or nurse to just give you another hit of the medicine that put you out if they see you are very physically awake and feeling the pain.
It happens every once in a while that a patient will start to wake up and become restless. The anesthesiologist will put them to sleep again, and a little deeper. I have seen this happen.
That actually has happened before. We were discussing it in a science course I was taking a year ago where there have been instances where maybe the person is drugged or "paralyzed" and they’re awake during the surgery and the cutting open and all and can’t contact the doctors in any way because they can’t even open their eye lids or twitch their finger or anything. People have sued and now I think you have to sign some sort of paper or contract that has to do something with that, should it ever happen. But, yeah, that would pretty much stink and you’d probably be in a deal of shock, probably not pain because hopefully the pain killers and drugs they give you should still be doing their job. But in my sci. course, the teacher said that people have awoken (not being able to contact anyone) and could actually feel the cutting, ripping, sewing, etc.
Although rare it can and has happened. However the anesthesiologist is usually watching and they can knock you right back out before you are even aware that you are awake so most people don’t even remember that they woke up. You can die in surgery of course but I have never heard of anyone dying because they woke up. I hope this helps God bless you.
there is an anesthesiologist when surgery is preformed. they monitor your heart rate and blood pressure. among other things, he takes the correct actions long before you wake up
