What is the most time after a surgery a 75-year-old women should still have pain?

My grandma is 75 years aged as well as she had a operation 3 months ago as well as she is still angry about serious heedfulness around her stomach. Her operation was a dismissal of her gull bladder. Do we consider a suffering is from a operation or from something else? If from a surgery, is it normal to still have this pain?

I would have expected the pain to have eased by now. If she is in the UK – or has health care insurance, might just be worth havcing an x-ray – VERY unlikely but once in a while a swab etc can be left behind – which is then a fairly simple matter to open and retrieve.

Either way, if she is in a good deal of pain, I would have though seeking some professional medical advice might be worth considering – possibly from the place that did the operation in the first place?

Yes it could be from the surgery. Usually when they cut on you it takes a while to recover. Also, as you age it takes longer to recover.

I would imagine if they removed her gall bladder they made an incision somewhere on her upper stomach and they cut through muscles and tendons too. If she is still in pain ask her doctor for some pain medicine, i.e. Vicodin, Percocet or you can try Motrin, or Advil for the pain. She will probably be sore for a while, maybe up to a year.

I know with my back surgery it took me better than a year to fully recover.
