Being asian myself some people choose to do it because they just like how it looks. Its a painless and minor procedure. All it is is just a fold to give the eye a crease. For most asians getting the fold is just like choosing whether or not to get your ears pierce, nothing more. It has nothing to do with wanting to be like another race. Alot of asians are proud of their culture and heritage. The person who said because they wanna live up to the standard of beauty, since when did big caucasian like eyes become the standard of beauty? Alot of asians have a natural crease and sum don't so it is natural. Maybe they just want to look like their other asian counterparts?. Other than that I hope people don't jump to conclusions and start generalizing. Its mostly just really great makeup techniques that can give your eye the illusion of a certain look.
