@iRaveRobot Long term side effects, its been about8 months since i have had mine done, and the only side effect i have is that its very hard for me to crouch, I ride Bmx so it effects me very much, but maybe you won’t have the same side effect?

@ockings7 thats what happens to me. i have my ACL torn for three months and i haven’t made the surgery yet. i do feel the pain when i bend the knee for a long time but i don’t feel it on stairs though. I tore my knee when i was playing soccer with crazy people that don’t know anything about soccer. my doctor told me that i will have 75% of the chance to tear the ACL again after the surgery

@englishtoarab, it wont be back to normal completley, it depends on exactly what there doing to you. im still not 100% back to norman after 7 in a half months. you mostly feel pain on stairs or when u bend that knee too much or for too long, like while your sitting down.

@iraverobot. I had mine done some years back an ACL recon and a lat menicus repair. I returned to playing sport about 12 months after the OP but any form of manual work, I think your sound after 4 months. As a hole the repair holds up well for physically demanding work- but more extreem twisting & stress with sport I feel you have to hold back or compensate for the injury(only draw back)

i had an ACL surgery for over 5 months now, I still feel pain when i sit down for long periods and i still cant bend my leg all the way. i can walk normal now, but sometimes if i walk a lot like in a shopping mall say, i will have to take short breaks cause i start to limp. I dont think that it will be back to normal again, i still have to wait. hopefully it will

I had my right acl repaired 6 days ago, and both the meniscus, they managed to fix one of them but couldn’t do anything with the other. I can’t play competitive football for a year tho! This is the second rupture I’ve had in 6 years, did my left when I was 19! :-(

I have done my ACL reconstruction and Mensicus repair one and half month. I still have some sort of swelling and pain when I walk more in shoping malls and so. I’m regularly doing excercise. I hope pain and swelling will reduce after two months.

I had my ACL reconstructed with muscle and ALL my cartilage taken out my knee 2 years ago, im now looking at a 3rd operation to have a total knee replacement. all i reconmend is that if you have this surgery be prepared to not do normal activites every again. i used to snowboard and cant do that now, thats fine but little activites like walking up and down stairs, cant sit on a chair unless my foor is flat on the floor, and this is 2 years on.
just be careful and try to do anything but surgery.
