Forget ‘Adam being Adam’ – more like he recognized the dialogue as the pretentious shit that it was and couldn’t keep from snickering to himself at Jarman trying to ‘preach’ to his audience.
It’s obvious Adam thought it was ridiculous – you can see him mouthing the crappy dialogue along with the other actor at 4:29. Jarman was trying to ‘claim’ the punk scene for some great art film cause of his and he just wound up making most of the people in the film look like twats. Adam the exception.
It seems to me like Adam was just not focused in that that moment……..He’s a genuis-who knows what he’s thinking.I’d give anything to be him back in the day-up-on stage at the Kings concert!@!
