    which valve needs replacement? 2nd degree block means AV block? i suppose. usually with thoracic epidural anaesthesia there is no pain perceived in post operative period . thanks

    i need to have a valve replaced as it is to narrow and leaks, i also have a 2nd degree blockage . just worried on the recovering pain and the chances of any mistakes occuring during the operation going to get it proberbly within the next 6 months

    well freind, it depends on how many grafts are to be done, what areconduits planned, which are vessles to be grafted. whether onpump or offpump, what is pt’s lvef.usually if you plan awake surgery IMA harvesting is to be done extra pleuraly sparing pleura which is time consuming. usually a four graft case requires 6 hrs including anaesthetist time.

    how long the operation takes place? here in our hosp. using the hear-lung machine the least is 4 hours.
