cataract surgery removes a cloudy lens and replaces it with a clear lens implant. this implant will also replace the need to wear glasses.

I realize this improves the person’s vision, but does it improve their perscription? LIke if they wore glasses before, do they still need to? Or is the surgury just remove the cateract and that’s it?

I would have to be given a general anesthetic were I ever to have to have any sort of eye surgery. I cannot handle general eye exams, and I’ve passed out from anxiety. I could more happily let my right arm be amputated sans medication than let someone touch my eye! Yikes…

Three small incisions, less than 1 inch long?
That seems unclear to me.
Is each incision less than 1″?
Are all 3 together less than 1″?
It doesn’t seem possible to make anywhere near 3 1″ incisions within the front of my eye.
Just curious.
