I just had this procedure three weeks ago today. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. The first week was terribly hard and it was almost impossible to get any sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time. Anyone that is about to go through this procedure, it is VERY important to follow up with regular therapy and be very committed to doing it as instructed. Today, three weeks later I still have the pain but not near as bad and I’m almost ready to stop using my walker and start using my cane.

I have had a BHR done just over 2 years ago and i am very happy with the outcome. No more pain in that hip. Now im booked of the other hip on the 15th of January. Im looking forward to having the BHR done so i will have both hips done and im hoping the end to hip pain forever!!!!

Wow! Would have liked to see this a year ago. I had this procedure and it worked well for a while (after 3-6 months of tough recovery anyway). Now I have pain again after 1 year when walking and I have developed pockets of liquid around the metal hip replacement. They are thinking this could be that I am allergic to wear metal and there is no way to find out prior to this type of surgery. Please be careful when selecting this. Now I may have to have the traditional surgery anyway.
