How to Fix Health Care: Lasik Surgery For The Medical Debate

Make no inapplicable designation about it. Health caring remodel is coming. But what’s the most appropriate approach to repair the illness caring system, which is an inefficient, difficult disaster of in isolation actors, third-party payers, open subsidies, as well as countless state as well as sovereign regulations? Should you place the conviction in the supervision or in the giveaway market? ObamaCare supporters disagree which the answer lies in some-more government—more subsidies, some-more regulations, the law mandating people buy health-insurance coverage and, of …

Nope, but it was a nice strawman, maybe you might want to actually listen. But then again I doubt you will, you are an ideologue after all.

Or just google “cbo reduce deficit”, you can use google right?

Oh you’re so smart NC~ Any more failures you’d like to attempt?

Oh ho! And the conspiracy theories come out! Yes yes, all of science is a giant cabal it’s up to “free thinking” sorts like you to prove them wrong. Go go son, go and fight for freedom against the WHO and the IPCC, it’s all a conspiracy to create a one world government! I’d actually try to educate you on the whole “climategate contriversy”, but I don’t think it would be help to you. Protip: I’ve been advocating Japanese style system not Canadian, maybe you might want to pay attention. Heh.

    most health care is elective

but your analysis is incorrect regarding non-elective care – people understand that they don’t want to be in a position where they urgently need care, and the supplier can charge whatever they want. Hence, there is this thing called INSURANCE.

You may have heard of the term. It’s popular. Insurance can negotiate with care providers ahead of time so that there is competition, and then insurers pass savings on to customers. That how freedom would work.

So, your theory is that Obama is shrinking government as our economy flatlines? Someone needs to read instead of talking out of their ass. Obama has increased the size of goverment, not decrease it. Real man of genius

Idiot, thats from the GAO and the 30 million is from the CBO. Another question. Name any projections the CBO has been correct on. Just one. Look at their projections on Medicare and Medicaid smart guy. You believe you can add 30 million people into a system and it will actually lower costs and improve health care? Here’s a simple analogy. Throw a picnic and add 30 million to your guest list. Its costs money. It also cuts into your service since you will not have enough to feed everyone. Educated

No, just idiots like you who use fake data to “prove” your claims. Sorta like ClimateGate. Here’s one for you…Canadians waiting months for simple procedures like MRI’s and CAT scans. The problem with people like you is you attempt to push false data to back up your claims and believe its the truth, no matter how many times you are proven wrong. By the way, how did you get that WHO report? Request it in the mail? You need to take your head out of your ass and look at you false ideologies.

So basically you aren’t going say anything that everyone knows nor attempt to back up the claim that nonantianarchist made, got it. Not surprising really.

    “nobody believes in the report”

And by ‘nobody” I’m assuming you actually mean right wing ideologues with their heads up their asses. Actually there is medical tourism to pretty much every country for numerous reasons. Example, US citizens to Canada for medicine. Oh what’s that? You forgot about that? Or maybe you’re simply ignorantly regurgitating talking points. Funny, I never watched that movie, largely because I don’t have to get mass media information like you apparently do.

Your fuzzy math would be amusing if it wasn’t so sad. Considering you’re simply using an infinite horizon for the interest or ignorantly regurgitating the same nonsense talking point from others you heard it from. Also the healthcare legislation currently under consideration actually reduces the deficit according to the CBO. Get educated.

No, you continue to use the WHO report to back your claims when if you look at how they rankings are made, and how, nobody believes in the report. Those 36 countries ahead of the U.S. is a farce. People come to the U.S. for our health care services. U.S. citizens don’t leave to go to countries like Cuba, Costa Rica, Chile, Morocco, Canada, and Cyprus (all are above the US according to your beloved WHO report). I’d suggest to stop listening to Michael Moore and watching his lame movie Sicko

Except Medicare and Medicaid are bankrupt to the tune of about 67 trillion dollars. Add 30 + million into a broke system will only destroy it faster. Simple economics.

My arguments have already been made. But as already mentioned before you can’t accept the fact that government does shrink relative to the economy, or the fact that large swaths of the financial industry (default swaps) are essentially unregulated. I’m not arguing with someone in touch with or willing to acknowledge reality.

Oh yes, I’m sure that unsupported claim more than makes up for the rest of their horrible system. Protip: You might want to look at the rates of abortions in all those countries compared to the US first…

Indeed I think you might have missed the last thirty years where the Gini Index has increased from 40 to 47, where previously it had been going down or had remained flat. You know, end of the Gilded age, expansion of the middle class, all those evil things.

Considering that we don’t cover about 10% of the workforce, and that about 14k deaths a year are directly caused by lack of insurance per the Harvard study cited by Grayson…

It has more to do with the lack of buying power from said system, that and the government is bought off by Pharma etc, and won’t enforce lower prices like every other developed nation, also the fee for service system we currently have, rather than a result based system.

  • studio7manga
    December 5th, 2009 at 2:38 am

Taking, for sake of argument, your unsupported claim as truth, I can think of a very simple reason for said “better health results”. Because the employer based population is younger in this country…

    Employer based isn’t a single payer either…

the lasik argument is so stupid and fails at basic logic tests.

Lasik is an elective surgery… if they lower costs they get more customers. Thus there is a large incentive to lower cost.

For non elective surgery, you have the same amount of customers… no matter how much you charge. Thus there is no incentive to lower costs.
