    Three possible explanations:
    1.) You’re lying out of your ass.
    2.) You have such poorly controlled diabetes that you can’t feel anything below the belt. (Neuropathy)
    3.) Your doctor sprayed entirely too much of that cold shit on your toe and couldn’t feel anything.

    Everyone who says it hurts is just trying to scare you. You feel a TON of pressure on your toe after the shot, but that’s normal, and you don’t feel a thing when he cuts the nail. The recovery is no big deal either. I was walking on it the next day, and in 2 days i was walking normally on it with shoes on.

    @nonormaltwins my advice is to not film or watch it.

    and you’ll get a huge bandage around your toe and it’ll probably be fine the next day.

    @TreeHuggerLikesPie wow, thats exactly like me, im eleven years old and my parents keep telling me they will cut my nails but i am like NO, and now in two weeks i am getting surgery on my ingrown nails =(

    also, do you have to wear crutches or wrap your foot with a cast or do you just go home with a sock on and its fine the next day?

    I will be honest. When I had this surgery done years ago, the shots hurt like hell. It felt like I had about 14 shots in each foot.I had my ingrowns removed permanently. The shots were painful, but the surgery was definitely well worth it as I have not since then had any more ingrown toenails.

    @nonormaltwins Don’t worry about it. I just had my ingrown big toenail surgery yesterday. It did not hurt at all. They spray some stuff on your toe before they give you a shot so it will not hurt. I have not experianced any pain at all after the surgery. It feels wonderful to get rid of that ingrown toenail. I wish I would of got the surgery a couple of months ago and not went through all this suffering.

    @nonormaltwins

    I got this done last week, I’m only fourteen, and I am extremely needle-phobic. I asked the doctor if their was a way I could get put to sleep, and that’s what I did. Most of the time they will tell you no. If that’s the case ask for the laughing gas too calm you down a little bit, you won’t be as afraid. :) If you have any questions message me on m Youtube. :D

    I think that the anaesthetic is the worst part of the whole procedure. The nail surgery itself is a quick and painless procedure. 20 seconds of discomfort is well worth it if it means that you will never have an ingrown toenail again.

    I’ve got a ingrown toenail which is on my left side of my big toe. I’m not
    nervous about the surgery it’s just the needles Im worried about. On a rating of 1-10 how much does it hurt?

    I had surgery done on both my toes on Wednesday it’s only the needle that’s a bit uncomfortable but since I’ve been having itching on my toes I did my first dressing today and it’s weeping above the toes and very sore the doctor said she never heard of itching before after surgery any one else experienced this affect.
