Ok, so at the time of this posting you’re talking 10,000 complaints out of approximately how many success stories? 100,000? 1,000,000? In the US alone more than a million people have had Lasik surgery. So you’re right, to say 95% is bogus. It’s more along the lines of 99%.
And you’re also failing to take into consideration the fact that, this IS a cosmetic procedure, there is no life saving, necessary aspect to it. The patient assumes the risks NOT the doctors.
Cool vid-thanks!! I just had the same surgery 4 days ago, and am so glad I did! No pain, no real discomfort, and my vision is great-not 100% at night yet, but that’ll improve over time, I’m told. I highly recommend this procedure!
After 9 months the flap heals to a point that it can only be lifted with lab machinery, and your eye can get damaged in the same respect as if you never had Intra-Lasiks in the 1st place. At 2+ years it heals completely. Just DO NOT TOUCH your eyes for 1 month and protect them well, wear the glasses and dont fuck around. Dont listen to all this fear mongering going on. Intra-Lasik is new, but it is solid and the precision of a machine is better than the human hand… with a razor blade.
Hey dumbass. STFU. I had this surgery done over a year ago, and can see better than I can ever remember. Also, I train and fight Muay Thai and get punched and kicked in the face A LOT, and have not had any problems. Sooooooo, go fuck yourself and suck my ass. kthanxbye
These comments are a bit extreme, the stromal layer which is lasered during surgery rebonds to the flap almost completely after a certain period of time and any damage which may cause the flap to unhinge would have to be so servere that it would definately damage the cornea in any case.
Doctor’s don’t kidnap you and tie you down and do LASIK on you. It’s VOLUNTARY. You have to SIGN stating you ARE WILLING TO HAVE THE SURGERY REGARDLESS OF THE RISKS…..sheesh. Take some friggin responsibility for your decisions, people.
I had it done and I’m glad I did. I wore glasses for 12 years (from age 6) and contacts for another 25. My vision was 20/200 and now it’s 20/25. I need only reading glasses for my age related prespyopia.
LasikComplications, LifeAfterLasik,LasikScam, Lasik-Flap, LasikFraud, LasikSucks4u2, UsaEyes, LasikNightmare, FlawedLasik, LasikSurgeryWebsite, LaserMyEye, MyLasikStory, SurgicalEyes org, DoctorMyEye , LasikLiberty, VisionSimulations, EyeFreedom , NoBlur…Show me another procedure that has this many patient websites trying to WARN YOU to NOT have LASIK and how UNPREDICTABLE it has become, now being an epidemic!! YouTube: FDA LASIK and watch and listen to the estimated 600,000 ruined lives!!!
LASIK is finally all over the news and showed to be causing great concern. Google: LASIK FDA, LASIK SUICIDES, LifeAfterLasik, Lasik-Flap. The 95% success rate is bogus. We spoke in front of the FDA Panel this week telling them that there are about 10,000 hurt LASIK patients, not the reported 140 complaints they are stating. Anyway. Google: Brian Williams LASIK FDA NBC, LASIK CBS, LASIK ABC, LASIK CBC.
Who told you that having a permanent FLAP that NEVER HEALS is safer than wearing contact lenses long term? I don’t know of anyone that has committed suicide from wearing contact lenses, but know of almost a dozen that have from Lasik Surgery. It’s all about money. More money is made from Lasik, and the aftermath of destruction to the eye, than from contacts. That is why it was invented. Google: Lasik-Flap, LifeAfterLasik, Lasik Suicides, CRSQA and you will see a whole new world…
Excuse me. Taking off more cornea, further thinning it out accelerating the risk of Ectasia IS NOT A GOOD SIGN. I can’t wait to see the news one day where Tiger Woods is hitting golf balls into the ponds because of the amount of tissue that was removed from his corneas, so I hear…
It never ceases to amaze me at how much the consumers reiterate what the televisions and doctors tell them. Intralase is not safer than using a Microkeratome Blade. They switched to Intralase because it does help keep the depth even, since a blade was pretty much “unpredictable.” But, know this, THERE ARE STILL PROBLEMS WITH INTRALASE BECAUSE A FLAP THAT NEVER HEALS IS A FLAP THAT NEVER HEALS…Thus, the problem is in the creation of a FLAP. PRK is safer. Best choice is Ortho K, or contacts
Those that are afraid should choose prk instead of intralasik. There, they don’t create a flap, so the healing time is longer. Still, after 6 months, no one can tell if you had a surgery or not. If I would choose, I’d probably trade healing time for safety. Still, I don’t know of any case where an intralasik flap came off. It is POSSIBLE, of course, but chances are better that a brick will fall on your head while taking a walk.
It again shows how UNPREDICTABLE lasik or refractive surgery can be and how doctors still are not understanding that the eyes need their virgin regular shape to maintain and produce an equal tear film MANDATORY for the long term health of the eye and stable vision. Doctors are not warning patients because they only care about the patients $3,000 a pop. That is why there are over a 1,000 websites by lasik patients warning the public.
“Enhancements” are not a bad sign at all, they simply mean someone was under- or over-corrected, because every eye’s healing response varies and cannot be predicted 100%, and/or because the surgeon under-corrected purposely, understanding this natural variation, rather than over-correcting in case of regression during healing.
Intralasik is different from lasik. It’s a lot safer and more sanitary because there is no use of blades. Getting laser eye surgery is actually safer than wearing contact lenses long term. Obviously ppl who have had problems haven’t looked into a professional place.
Lying Lasik Doctors are NOT telling the patients that the FLAP they create is permanent. That is why these scumbags can lift it and enhance it 2,5,10,15 years later. These doctors belong at the bottom of an ocean for their lies and corruption!! Google: lifeafterlasik, lasikflap, lasik ectasia, dry eye syndrome. Many of their patients have committed suicide for what these snakes have done to their own patients!! You’ve been warned!! Stay with contacts or glasses or you’ll be sorry…
Lasik surgery has ruined the vision of Tiger Woods exgirlfriend Kashmira Karanjia, Regis Philbin, Kathy Griffin to name just a few. Tiger Wood’s vision has also required further “enhancements” which are NOT a good sign. Google lasik suicide, lasik disasters, lasik lawsuits, lasik fraud, lasik dry eye syndrome, lasik evil, lasik conspiracy, and you will understand why!

yes it does but in stead of a knife cutting, the laser does the job so its more accurate.

intralasik only removes the blade from the equation. instead using a laser to make the cut for the flap.

Yeah, compared to PRK it still sucks, but the flap is much more stable after intralasik.
