I feel so squeemish watching this! I feel so weird thinking about surgery dealing with something so sensitive like the eyes, lol. I have horrible vision and wear glasses and I don’t think I would ever get lasik eye surgery, lol. You were so brave, Julie!
@pradagirl8 they don’t exactly “cut your eye” they cut the outer skin. I’ve got it done and you don’t feel a thing. After the surgery, it will feel a little uncomfortable – like having dry eyes and the bright lights is a little weird the first couple of days. But by 4 days, I was completely okay. They only ask to NEVER SCRATCH YOUR EYES. You put artificial tears and antibiotics and you’re cured within a week. I would definitely consider getting it done (:
I’m inevitably going to need this surgery (I have really bad eyesight and my eye doctor already confirmed that I am a candidate) and I wanna thank you so much or this video. Though I had to scroll down during the part where they were cutting your eye.. so I’m a little scared now. o_o Though it doesn’t matter, the prospect of eye surgery always frightened me. But now I know exactly what to expect. Thanks so much!
Omg I was thinking of getting laser eye surgery but now that I know they are giong to cut your eye I’m SOOOOO SCARED FOR MY LIFE! If they TOLD me They were cutting my eye, I would’ve been like DON’T TOUCH. MY EYE.
You have to be 18 or older to get it done. BUT it doesn’t mean that your prescription stays steady at that age. I would say that a Rx can become steady once you are 25 years of age. I guess it depends on the insurance and which state you live in. Where I live most insurances don’t cover lasik since it’s considered “cosmetic” surgery =( And yes, you do have to wait at least 1 whole year so that dr’s can see if your Rx is steady, otherwise you’re not a candidate

I’m pretty scared of the side effects if it goes wrong, like double vision for the rest of your life… hahah.
