You are definetly one of the lucky ones! I tore my RLM in 2003 and my MCL in 2007.I now have Grade 3 Arthrirtis and Osteoperosis. My job has been comprimised because of my injury and have to take heavy nrcotic based medication to rid myself of the pain.
I wish anyone the absolute best who sustains a knee injury, it just gets worse over time. I am 32 and too young to have a knee replacement at this point in time, but will be in the near future. Best of luck!

i had my cartledge removed from my right knee 2 and a half weeks ago and i still cant walk.
i am only 15 years old and the surgeon said that because i had the whole medial meniscus removed that i will have athiritis when im older
i tore it playing aussie rules football and i wont be able to play again for 12 months, but football is my life, all the therepy i need to do will keep me out of the game for ages.

Having been through 4 previous left-knee surgeries from the age of 16 to my current age of 38 (orthroscopic and microfracture surgeries) all I can say is that my knee has never been the same since my first initial surgery. Now, the only thing I have left to look forward to is orthoplasty (knee replacement) but not until I’m in my late 40′s or early 50′s. Hell, I’m medically retiring from my current government job as a result of a knee injury during my job. Take care of your knees!!!

I got knee surgery done on my right leg earlier this year (17 years old) and I had the whole meniscus removed. It sucks because now I have sharp joint pains in my knee and its still numb from the operation.
