EagleLineProductions That it the slicing of the outer cornea. In Laser eye surgery you must remove the outer cornea for the laser to have an effect. It used to be done by a very precise hand and a scapel. If you notice the cornea is still attached via a very thin piece of it’s own matter, when operations are completed the eye MUST be covered for I believe 1 – 2 days by a bandage in order for the cornea to reheal and seal the eye properly.

From what the locla eye surgen has told me, your cornea grows back over itself every couple od days, if not sooner. Thats why if you get dirt in yor eyes you have to get it our right away.

How does the cornea stick after being pull down. Won’t it go out of place when blinking.

you see that flap that they lifted? its part of the eye that they cut away temporarily, when the put the flap back after the surgery, it has to be in the exact same position so they use the those blue circles as reference. its ink that can be cleaned off

the three blue rings are a sterile Ink that marks the flap and surrounding layer so that when the flap is put back down, the surgeon can line up the lines to ensure the flap is in the correct posistion.

NO, its really not that bad, I have done it, and I will do it again!!!, its great to be able to see again, and not worry about contacts or glasses, you dont feel a thing!!! not painfull at all, just a bit discomfort, but its like for 2 minutes… compare 2 min of discomfort to be able to see for the REST of your life…. IT IS SOOO WORTH IT!!!
