That is absolutely amazing! Congratulations on that! I am also looking into Roux En Y. I thought about the banding, but for someone with a food addiction, it’s so easy to say “adjust it so I can eat more” or “just remove it.” How close are you to your goal weight or have you reached it already?

The only problem with that is that most morbidly obese people eat out of addiction. If they know your product will make food taste like sawdust, they just won’t use it before they eat.

I think less, because you eat much less.

Lame. Hunger has nothing to do with taste.

to prevent reflux of bile acid and HCl (yellow) and as a consequence to prevent gastritis they make an anastomose (place where blue and yellow come together) 50 cm distal to the left-over stomach.

@baystategal Actually it’s stomach acids, pepsin and hydrochloric acid. These acids break up protein.

You should consult a physician to find out the exact risks. I had the gastric bypass done on october 28th 2009 and have already lost 110 pounds. These results are not typical. I don’t have diabetes anymore. I attend a support group once a month that is for both gastric bypass and the lap band and both surgeries seem to work. The gastric bypass patients are ussualy the more severely obese patients and or patients with diabetes and other complications of obesity.

I was wondering which one is safer and better, this one or the lap band?
