I had mine done when I was 22, it took a full year before I could walk without limping, no way in hell are you going to be running or playing hard sports. I only weigh 155 and by the end of the day I am ready to sit my butt down. Doesn’t take much before the implant starts aching and yes you can feel it even on a good day. I’m just thankful I don’t need a wheelchair though. Still walk on my own two. Ask any questions, I don’t mind.
whats wrong with ya hip? u have perthes disease in it? I’m 20 and am needing one soon, but am also trying to play professional cricket… don’t know if thats gonna be possible after a replacement.
Glad your THR was a great turnout. I may have to have mine replaced later in life due to an injury. I am 28 and had plate and pins put in b/c the acetabulum was fractured. It’s nice to know your recovery went so well. Gives me hope!
I must say as someone who just had both his hips replaced in 2008 and I am 45 and I could not imagine having dealt with this type of pain at your age. You are very brave!

For me after years of pain with bone fused to bone it was miraculous. You’ll do well.

I am 72 and just had mine replaced. It was so easy. No pain, no discomfort and in no time you will be as good as new.

My growth plate slipped entirely off when I was 10 or 11 years old. I had a rough time with my disabilites. But I am more happier now. Thanks
