And let this be a warning to whoever can still do something about it.
If you can do something about it, don’t let it get this far! You only have one body!

This surgery is so much in the public consciousness that myths and misunderstandings are everywhere. It’s so important that patients and their families understand the different procedures. This animation is clear, beautiful, and informative! Thank you, Nucleus.

Absolutely, if metabolically one has a problem, such as a dysfunctional thyroid, then I have no problem with these surgeries. I just stressed my points because my sister was looking at these procedures as a free ticket for “loosing weight,” which angered me! The reason why is because I am fighting my weight as well, but have chosen a healthier lifestyle and not an invasive surgery.

While what you said is true, some people are physically incapable of losing weight despite their best efforts. This is their alternative. I do agree with you though, surgery is a serious thing not to be taken lightly. Natural methods of exercise and diet before major surgery.

I always am anti-surgery for weight loss efforts. I wish that people could just start becoming healthier individuals instead of just thinking about weight loss. Anyways, if you’re reading this and considering surgery, what percentage of willpower have you given restricting your diet in the past? If not 100%, then this surgery isn’t for you! You should give it your all before considering something as serious as surgery! Good luck and GET HEALTHY AMERICA!!!
